Pupil Property
Pupil Property
The school will not be responsible for items of property brought into school which get damaged or lost. Every effort will be made by staff to keep items safe and secure and to find any lost property.
We strongly discourage pupils from bringing high value (monetary) or invaluable (sentimental) items to school. If these items are brought to school, we will not accept any responsibility for their recovery or replacement in the case of loss, theft or damage. Parents should insure any items, such as iPad/phones before sending them into school as the school insurance does not cover these items.
Any item brought into school, that is used by a pupil on transport must be kept in reception and will be placed on the desk for pupils to collect at home time. Whilst every effort will be made to keep these items safe during the school day, the school does not accept responsibility for replacement costs.
It is essential that all children’s clothing and possessions are clearly named. Sadly, this will not necessarily prevent losses occurring, but it will enable the many articles brought to lost property to be returned to their owners.
The majority of items reported lost or stolen are often found and staff will make every effort to find misplaced items. Where items are not recovered the school does not accept responsibility for replacement costs.
