Role of the support workers

Supporting your child through their school life can be challenging, rewarding and at times, a complex journey.

Our Family Support Worker Rachel Green works with Dee Banks children and families from starting school to transitioning into adulthood.  

She works with families and staff across school to ensure that communication between home and school is effective, and link with other professionals to support families where a multi-agency approach is required/requested. 

She can point you in the right direction for advice/support linked to other things outside school, including activities for your child and are running regular parents’ sessions to share advice and information. Where possible Rachel will attend your child’s Annual Review meetings and other multi-agency meetings such at Team Around the Family and Child in Need meetings

Additional information

You are welcome to call in to see Rachel when you’re in school for meetings or appointments. They are also able to offer home visits.
