Remembrance Day

In Oak class today we took time to remember all the people who served and gave their lives. 
We did a special Sensology session - we looked at poppies on the lightbox, we smelt the 'smokey fire' (Lapsang Souchong Tea), tasted the Bovril that soldiers would have, listened to the sound of gunfire and banged the drums and we felt some very special medals. 
This afternoon we did a sensory story of In Flanders Field. 

'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them'
